My passion for food is deeply rooted and forever growing. I learned the art and joy of cooking at a very young age and have since found a passion for being in the kitchen learning, trying, failing, tasting, laughing (and even the occasional moment of crying). Feeding others is the most fun and rewarding experience. I love to be a part of these moments in your life, where your seated at a table, laughing with your friends and family, tasting a wine you’ve never tried before and savoring that last bite of food your plate.

Sommelier

The stories behind grapes, regions, and winemaking traditions fascinate me, and that curiosity naturally led me to pursue sommelier training. I hold a WSET Level 3 certification, and I believe wine should feel inviting, not intimidating.

I love helping others branch out, discover new favorites, and enjoy wine with confidence—whether that means trying an unexpected bottle, learning the “why” behind what’s in the glass, or simply savoring a really good pour. Sharing wine knowledge is one of my greatest joys, best done with good food, good company, and a beautifully set table

Family

The irony that my husband, Michael, and I met at wine bar certainly doesn’t escape me. Our first date was at one of my favorite local wine shops. Two bottles of wine and a charcuterie board later I knew it was all meant to be. He is the biggest support of the Cowart Kitchen and I, without a doubt, would not be able to do it without him. I grew up in Baldwin County with my parents, Mark and Kelley, and sister, Rachel. I am so thankful that we always shared meals and cooked together during my childhood. I learned so much about the kitchen and the fun and importance of time shared at the dinner table from them. My parents have both always enjoyed and appreciated good wine and shared this with me. I hate to say this but I was, and maybe still am, notorious for snagging a bottle from their wine collection when I’m home for a visit. Michael and I welcomed our daughter Anne Frances on December 1, 2023 followed by our identical twin girls Lucy and Kelley on August 1, 2025.
